Organigram Holdings Inc. (TSX VENTURE:OGI) (OTCQB:OGRMF), one of the top licensed producers of medicinal cannabis located in New Brunswick, Canada, announced this morning that the company has received a permit to export cannabis from Health Canada that open up the company to complete its first international shipments.
Public companies producing medical cannabis within Canadian boarders have been jostling for position as top company in the sector over the past few years. Part of most companies plan are to begin to expand their operations internationally in the hope to increase their market share and get a head start on competing in the international cannabis market.
Organigram will now begin to ship dried cannabis products to Cannatrek Medical PTY Ltd., which is also a a licenced Australian medical cannabis enterprise with operations in Melbourne, Victoria. The deal will be facilitation through its broker Cannada Management Group Global Inc, which handles import/exportand logistics of cannabinoid related products throughout the country.
