On March 7, 2018, Organigram Holdings Inc. (TSX VENTURE:OGI) (OTCQB:OGRMF) a licensed producer of medical marijuana based in Moncton, New Brunswick, announced the appointment of Guillermo Delmonte as the President of its new international division. Mr. Delmonte will assume his new role effective March 8, 2017.
Mr. Delmonte joins the Organigram team following two and a half years as the Chief Executive Officer of ICC Labs Inc., a leading international hemp and cannabis producer. In this role, he successfully oversaw ICC’s initial public offering (IPO) as the first South American cannabis company to go public. As President of the new Organigram division, he will lead the planning and execution of the company’s international expansion strategy.
In a statement, Organigram CEO Greg Engel said, “Guillermo is a tremendous addition to the Organigram team. His deep understanding of global markets and opportunities, track record of international leadership, and extensive network around the world are key to our international plans as we target Europe, Australia and other regions worldwide in the burgeoning cannabis and hemp marketplace.” Mr. Delmonte has also held financial and business development leadership roles at companies including BBVA Bank, Technit Group, Credit Agricole Bank, United Nations Uruguay and Bank ITAU and is a graduate of ORT, University Montevideo (Uruguay), Institut d’Estudis Financiers Barcelona (Spain), and IEEM Montevideo University (Uruguay).
