Phivida Holdings Inc. (CSE: VIDA) (OTCPK: PHVAF) has announced the signing of a LOI with Athletes for Care, Inc. to partner on cannabinoid education and research with professional and amateur level athletes.
Athletes for Care is a non-profit, that was founded by professional athletes who seek to engage under one voice about health concerns facing athletes by researching and educating the general public. Athletes for Care are open to exploring cannabinoids as a replacement for opioid based pharmaceutical drugs prescribed to athletes on a regular basis. Some of the top athletes in nations are a part of Athletes for Care, such as include Riley Cote (Philadelphia Flyers), Eugene Monroe (Baltimore Ravens), Jake Plummer (Denver Broncos) and other involved in snowboarding, MMA, volleyball, cycling, tennis and basketball.
Since the World Anti-Doping Agency removed CBD from the banned substance list in 2018, the two companies look to educate healthcare practitioners and sports therapists on research and clinical data surrounding cannabinoids.
