The Maricann Group Inc. (CSE:MARI) (OTCQB:MRRCF) has announced this morning that the company has received approval from Health Canada to begin immediate propagation in their new state of the art facility in Ontario, Canada.
The facility combines both indoor and outdoor cultivation techniques that are expected to increase yields and manage operational costs. The Maricann Group will use the power of the sun in a controlled, airtight, and energy efficient environment to grow their medicinal cannabis.
Maricann has divided their cultivation into units of 8,500 sq. ft. of different cannabis strains in an attempt to lower the risk of cross contamination, as well as, to manage full control of the company’s grow space.
The company’s CEO Ben Ward gave this statement in the press release:
“The licensing of Phase One of our Canadian expansion is a major milestone for both our employees and shareholders. This facility could be built in the Arctic, or the equator and still replicate the exact same cannabis every time. Due to the control and automation platform, combined with a unique building envelope design from standard stock, pre-engineered steel and greenhouse components, our overall costs are reduced,” stated Ben Ward, CEO
