The Green Organic Dutchman Holdings Ltd.(TSX:TGOD) (OTCQX:TGODF) announced this morning that the company has signed a LOI to joint venture with a horticulture company out of Hinnerup, Denmark called Knud Jepsen. This marks TGOD’s first venture into the European cannabis market.
Knud Jepsen has decades of extensive experience in plant genetics, R&D work and their current operations has global distribution networks set in place. Knud Jepsen is the world’s largest Kalanchoes breeder and producer distributing and selling more than 35 million finished plants in Europe and 90 million cuttings to over 75 countries each year. The company has operations setup in Denmark, Vietnam, and Turkey.
Under the terms of the joint venture the companies will begin construction of a 200,000 sq. ft. greenhouse located in conjunction with Knud Jepsen’s 1.3 million sq. ft. state-of-the-art automated greenhouses in Denmark.
The planned 200,000 square feet greenhouse will grow organically certified medicinal cannabis and will bring TGOD’s total production capacity to approximately 25,000 kgs. This will provide the European continent with a consistent supply of high-quality organic cannabis to distribute amongst countries in the EU.
