Just before the new year Health Canada announced the addition of two new cannabis production facilities to its list of licensed companies. With the additional of Agri-Médic ASP Inc. and Vert Cannabis in Quebec last December, there are now six licensed producers in the region with a total of 89 across Canada today. The entire list of licensed Canadian cannabis producers can be seen on the Health Canada website with further details of their locations, original dates of licensing, cannabis-related activities, starting points of sale and contact information. With this detailed list of information Canada Health is working with the full list of licensed cannabis producers to transition smoothly into overall national legalization.

Considering the different licenses from cultivation, production, and sale, as well as the difference between licensing for plants and dried products versus fresh and oil products. There is a great deal of work that has been placed into the advancement of the Canadian cannabis market as national legalization approaches.
