Aphria Inc. (TSX: APH) (OTC: APHQF), one of the largest cultivators and distributors of cannabis products in Canada, announced this morning that the company has signed an agreement with Great North Distributors Inc, wholly owned subsidiary of Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits, to allow the company to serve as an exclusive sales representative for recreational cannabis products throughout Canada after the planned legalization of cannabis this year.
As company’s like Aphria continue to jostle for position ahead of the legalization of cannabis in Canada, partnerships amongst distribution and supply companies will continue to happen. Under the terms of the deal, Great North Distributors will be Aphria’s exclusive representatives in Canada. Great North Distributors distribution network is massive and the company has established partnerships with private retailers in almost every province across the country. This deal will facilitate the sale of Aphria’s long list of branded products throughout allowed retail locations in Canada.
