AusCann Looks to Improve Cannabis Production Process with Jade Cannabis Research Agreement

Australian based medicinal cannabis company AusCann (ASX:AC8) has entered into the Canadian market with a research agreement with Jade Cannabis, a cannabis company focused on R&D. AusCann enters the agreement looking to improve its grow processes and increase yield per square meter of grow room. The initial agreement is for three years.

AusCann has also named Luke Pigeau as its new Master Grower. Pigeau has more than 10 years of cannabis cultivation experience. He previously worked for Canadian cannabis companies Agripharm and Mettrum Health. Pigeau is expected to expedite growing and production processes. He will try to integrate AusCann partnerships, such as the one between AusCann and Tasmanian Alkaloids(May 2017). With its recent acquisitions, AusCann has the means to cultivate, produce, manufacture, and distribute its cannabis products.

The appointment of a new Master Grower and addition of Jade Cannabis bring a wealth of experience to AusCann. Co-founder Kenneth Langford also co-founded Peace Naturals, which was the first commercially licensed medical cannabis company in Canada. He has been very successful optimizing their grow schedule. Another co-founder, Martin Beya, has nearly 20 years of experience in licensed medicinal cannabis production.

The research agreement will also allow for design and construction of new cultivation equipment. The company is targeting the medical markets in Australia and Chile, while also exploring export opportunities globally.
