Canopy Rivers Plans to Go Public After Completion of $100M Private Placement

Canopy Rivers is a privately held investment company located in Canada that focuses on new opportunities in the cannabis and hemp markets. Investors may recognize their name because the company works closely in conjunction with Canopy Growth Corporation (TSX: WEED) (NYSE: CGC), which is one of the largest public cannabis companies in the sector.

Canopy Rivers identifies potential companies seeking to conduct business with Canopy Growth Crop. and then offers those companies terms and the necessary capital to expand or maintain their growing business.

Canopy Rivers has grown its portfolio rapidly over the past few year. Their portfolio consists of companies like Terrascend Corporation, LiveWell Foods Canada Inc., Spot Therapeutics Inc., and Agripharm Corporation.

The company has recently completed its private placement selling 28,792,000 shares for a total gross proceeds of $104,212,000. The offering was co-led by CIBC Capital Markets and GMP Securities L.P.

After raising over $100M Canopy Rivers will take its company public via a reverse takeover with public company AIM2 Ventures Inc. and their wholly owned subsidiary.
