Fyllo, a pioneering marketing technology platform for the cannabis industry, today announced that Jeff Ragovin, co-founder of Buddy Media, the largest social marketing platform of its time that was acquired by Salesforce for $745 million, has joined the company as its first-ever Chief Commercial Officer. Ragovin will be tasked with driving the global commercialization of the Fyllo brands and its creative compliance offerings.
As Fyllo’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ragovin will also play a vital role in overseeing M&A activity and potential fundraising. In this newly created role, he will work closely with marketing and product teams at Fyllo to build a world-class brand for cannabis stakeholders looking to capitalize on the growth of the space. With new product developments planned in the creative compliance space in the next few months, Ragovin’s expertise is highly valued and comes at a pivotal time for the company’s growth trajectory. He will be based in the New York office and will report directly to Chad Bronstein, CEO and co-founder of Fyllo.
“The cannabis industry is ripe for disruption, with lots of growth opportunity. To reach its full potential, companies need to be able to run more targeted and compliant marketing campaigns which Fyllo has been able to enable at scale,” said Ragovin. “I am thrilled to join Fyllo to help launch strategic global commercialization initiatives and assist in driving further success throughout the M&A and fundraising process.”
Ragovin is a technology and marketing industry visionary with a proven track record of helping companies successfully scale their businesses in multiple SaaS environments. As co-founder of Buddy Media, acquired by Salesforce in 2012, Ragovin played an integral role in guiding the company from start-up to becoming the world’s largest enterprise social marketing software platform. Later, he co-founded Social Native, a technology platform that reinvented how brands create content through crowdsourcing. Ragovin is also the host of Marketing Mix, a preeminent marketing industry podcast that features some of the world’s most influential CEOs and CMOs speaking about their strategies and challenges across a variety of fields.
“We’re pleased to add someone of Jeff’s caliber to our team,” said Bronstein. “His experience in leading companies through massive scaling and growth efforts is invaluable and will be extremely helpful as we plan to bring Fyllo to the next level in the cannabis marketing space. With some exciting product developments coming down the pike that transform how brands conduct their creative campaigns, we needed someone with extensive expertise to guide our commercialization strategy, and Jeff is the perfect fit to help us in our next phase of growth.”
