New Frontier Data, the well-known cannabis industry analytics company, has acquired The Hemp Business Journal, known for providing industry projections and analytics for the industrial hemp and CBD industries for an undisclosed amount of money.
Both companies are focused on different industries within the sector. Frontier Data will become one of the only analytic firms within the industry to both contain cannabis and industrial hemp related analysis and projections. They are used as an important tool for writers, entrepreneurs, investors, public companies, and private companies alike.
Giadha Aguirre de Carcer, New Frontier Data’s founder and chief executive officer said, “For (New Frontier Data) wanting to be the global nexus of unbiased cannabis reporting, the hemp portion of it was still not really fleshed out in the U.S. and certainly a lot was happening internationally,” said. “And so we knew, since 2015, that we needed to insert ourselves and figure out a way to cover it in a meaningful manner.”
